We were learning to use our imaginations to write fictional recounts of our summer holidays. The results were very funny....

When I went to Banham Zoo with my Dad in the summer holidays, we both had a horrible time...

We were watching the tigers being fed by the zoo keeper. But when he came out of the tigers enclosure, he did not shut the gate completely. So when the zoo keeper had left, all of the tigers got out and started to chase him around Banham Zoo! When they got to the exit of the zoo, they all ran out. Then all of the people that worked there were chasing the tigers down the road to catch them!

In the holidays I played with my friends and walked to the park. Then I went to play with my little sister. After I played with my sister, I went skating with my friends and then decided to go swimming. There was a shark in the swimming pool! The lifeguard said for everybody to get out and they got the shark and set it out in the grass. Then we went home.

  1. Hi Louise,
Your writing is fabulous. I love your use of exclamation marks! Did they end up catching the tigers? I hope so, because I don't want to find one under my bed!

    Hello Alfie,
What magnificent sentences you've written! I am glad I did not go swimming in that swimming pool! The shark might have nibbled my toes!
